Synopsis: Millionaire heir Bruce Wayne is determined to avenge the murder of his parents by street mugger Joe Chill. Released early in return for testifying against crime boss Carmine Falcone, Chill is assassinated by Falcone's contact before Wayne can kill him. Having angered his childhood sweetheart with his talk of vengeance, he impulsively boards a cargo ship. Travelling the world, Wayne lives among petty thieves in his attempt to better understand the criminal mind. Back to his hometown of Gotham, he creates Batman to fight corruption. With the help of butler Alfred, he builds up a base and sets out to beat Falcone, only to stumble on a far more sinister plot.
